Your Starting Point
Journey is a community of followers of Jesus in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. We are made up of people at various stages of our faith journeys, and everyone is loved and belongs. We believe in living our day-to-day lives to show Jesus’ strength and goodness with every step.
Journey is about helping everyone find out how they fit into God’s plan. Sometimes life gets tough, but with a strong church community to help, we know that anyone can find their way. We want you to live the rewarding, fulfilling life that God has planned for you.
If you’re interested in moving forward, talk to us about what your next step might be. It may be at you want to explore more about Jesus, through Alpha, a seven-week film series that explores the basics of Christianity. Maybe it’s time to get connected in Christian community through a weekly Life Group or a Serving Team. One size doesn’t fit all, and your life and journey is unique! Whatever your stage, we are here to help.
One way that we get these conversations going is at “Starting Point”, which happens next on September 26, 2021. Contact Pastor Matt Palmer.
Allow us to introduce ourselves! That’s what the Newcomers BBQ is about: just getting to know us. Individuals and families welcome.
Next BBQ: Sunday, August 29, 2021, following the morning service, at around 12:30pm.
Planning Your Visit
Sunday mornings are the best time to check out the Journey community! Our service time is 11am. We have lots of parking at 131 Duncan Lane, but you will want to arrive 10-15 minutes before service time, especially if you have children to check in.
We love new people and each week we have people joining us for the first time. We never single anyone out, so you can remain incognito if you like! Whenever you’re ready, fill out a “Hello” card, and see us after the service at the Welcome Desk for a little gift.
We welcome many families each week and we have special programming for children during the 11am service. Check our Journey Kids Page for details. Follow the signs, or just ask anyone for directions, to take your children to the children’s programming for check-in. Nursery and Pre-school is on the main floor, with Grades K-5 upstairs.
After the kids are checked in, grab a coffee at our Cafe, and head into the Celebration Centre!
After the service, you will find your children in the same room you dropped them off.
See you Sunday!

Join a Serving Team
New folks who jump in and begin serving tell us they feel connected. Serving others really is the best way to build relationships! We have many Serving Teams, so you’re sure to find one that fits your gifting. Check our Opportunities to Serve page for details!
Join a Life Group
Life Groups are special groups designed for growing followers of Jesus. Our Life Groups focus on the Journey topic of the Sunday sermons weekly, while forming bonds with the Journey community. Everyone is welcome and all groups are open to newcomers, unless they’re full! Our groups all have monthly serving opportunities outside the church walls, that they are working on. Check out or join a Life Group!
We’d love to hear from you.
I love how welcoming Journey is to people that are new. I think it's great that we are constantly looking to grow our church community. And I love how excited my 2-year-old son Will gets when he walks in the door!Justin Bowers
Journey Kids is AWESOME! My kids love Journey Kids and have grown in their walk with the Lord under the guidance and support of the Journey Kids leadership.Sandy Tucker
What I love about Journey is the amount of opportunities it has provided me to use my abilities for more than just myself, but instead using them to build God's Kingdom.Jorian Haperman
